The Remarkable Women of Early Salem

Learn about the German Moravian women who played an important role in the history of Salem. Particular attention will be paid to the early teachers and students in the school for girls including those of Cherokee and African descent. Michelle teaches at Salem Academy and College and co-chaired the Anna Maria Samuel Project: Race, Remembrance, and Reconciliation.
