Hear From Our Residents

Our residents come from different backgrounds and bring their unique qualities, talents, and life experiences to complete the Salemtowne community. Here are just a few reflections from some individuals who call Salemtowne their home.

We love living at Salemtowne. Our accommodations are spacious and home-like. The cuisine is excellent. Our fellow residents are friendly and outgoing. Salemtowne's campus is large with natural areas, nature trails, fishing lake and spacious open spaces. Our Life Enrichment Department offers great entertainment and educational opportunities. We have likened it to like living on a cruise ship.

I love it here. I have lived in an apartment since late 2016. There is plenty going on to choose from every week with many activities including artistic, intellectual, spiritual, and social. There are multiple exercise classes for any fitness level as well as the pool and exercise rooms. As for food, the dining at Salemtowne is terrific. There is much talk about "aging in place." With all these things going for it, plus the different levels of living (Independent, Assisted Living & Skilled Nursing), Salemtowne is the place I want to age in.

I recommend the care, the friendships, my right to give input, and on and on. I have found it a very enjoyable place to live!!! I love that my kitties are able to be with me. They are a special part of my family! I find Salemtowne at the top of the list for CCRCs.

We moved to Salemtowne 6 years ago and have been so happy here. The staff helped us bring the best of our former home to Salemtowne by pairing us with an architect who utilized the latest technological advances in designing a beautiful gallery for our cottage, complete with a surprise view of Hanging Rock! We have been able to accommodate our favorite Southern antiques that we have been collecting for over 40 years. Our cottage has become our retirement dream home.

I am so glad that I chose to live at Salemtowne. It is easy to make new friends in this welcoming and supportive culture. My favorite parts of life at Salemtowne are participating in fitness classes, attending plays and concerts, and the mentally stimulating gatherings, both structured and informal.

The team members (staff) are like family. They get to know you and care about you. One of the reasons for being here is to take some of the care burden off our children's shoulders. It is a bonus for the whole family. Salemtowne has been a place for us to relax, continue contributing to the community and to keep learning and laughing. Best of all to feel like Life is Good.
